The tenor of this agreement is written more for the benefit of the agent than the agreements entitled "Independent Agent Agreement(both exclusive and non-exclusive)". This Independent Agent Agreement will specify which accounts to market to. The agreement, besides specific assignments, defines compensation and grants a license to the agent to demonstrate the software. This Independent Agent Agreement is very useful when the software product may fit different markets and the software company wants to have multiple agents with each one in a different market, while ensurning protection for itself and the other agents.
